The Nvidia Shield TV Pro is the Android-TV box that became the streamer of choice for home cinemas that wanted more than a TV's built-in app. The current Shield TV Pro runs Nvidia's Tegra X1+ with AI Upscaling that lifts 1080p toward 4K convincingly, passes through Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with no compromise, and hosts a Plex Media Server quietly enough to run twenty-four hours a day. For owners who'd outgrown the Apple TV but weren't yet ready for a dedicated movie server, the Shield Pro has been the right size for almost a decade.
