Dal 1966 Bowers & Wilkins costruisce diffusori che fanno scuola — tanto negli studi di registrazione quanto in salotto. Fondata a Worthing, in Inghilterra, da John Bowers, la marca si è poi definita con la serie 800 Diamond — i diffusori di riferimento agli Abbey Road Studios — e con l'iconica Nautilus, il cui cabinet a forma di conchiglia nautilus viene costruito a mano, quasi invariato, dal 1993. Pochi nomi dell'hi-fi hanno saputo mantenere così a lungo questa combinazione di credibilità da studio e ambizione audiofila.
Una targa Bowers & Wilkins ha senso in una stanza dove la musica viene presa sul serio. Proprietari della serie 800, 700 o 600. Ascoltatori per i quali la differenza tra Kevlar, Continuum e tweeter al diamante non è una frase di marketing. Persone che non chiamano il proprio impianto «buono» — lo chiamano «ben rodato».
Il punto naturale: nella sala d'ascolto di fronte ai diffusori, sulla parete del rack hi-fi o accanto al giradischi. Se possiedi B&W, è molto probabile che tu abbia scelto amplificazione e cablaggio con la stessa cura — dai un'occhiata anche alle nostre targhe Rotel e AudioQuest.

It’s 75 on Jan 2nd but if yall can deal with the heat yall have a home with a pool. Btw sorry about our orange shitbag president. Most of us didn’t vote for him.
