Nakamichi was founded in Japan in 1948 — and over the following decades wrote the history of the tape deck. The Dragon cassette deck (1982) in particular is still regarded as the most technically ambitious cassette playback unit ever produced in series — with auto-bias adjustment, auto-azimuth correction, and a recording linearity other manufacturers never matched. Owning a working original Dragon today isn't owning a consumer device; it's owning an artefact of audio history.
A Nakamichi sign belongs in a room where Japanese audio tradition is taken seriously. Owners of a working Dragon, a ZX Series unit, or a 1000ZXL collection. Audiophiles who don't treat cassettes as nostalgia but as a medium with its own technical discipline. Collectors whose hi-fi system carries a date from before the internet.
The natural spot: in the listening room at the hi-fi rack, in the collection area, or next to the turntable. If you own Nakamichi, you most likely pair it with other Japanese heritage brands — take a look at our Technics, Marantz and Pioneer signs as well.
30 × 20 cm (11.8 × 7.9 in) • 3 mm brushed-gold aluminium surface

These signs exceeded my expectations. Better in person than it looks in the photos even! They truly feel professional and premium, if I saw one at a major movie theater it would fit right in. Even the packaging was great, all branded and very nice. Going to be buying several more. Highly recommended!
