Revel was founded in 1996 as a premium loudspeaker line under Harman International — with an explicit remit: to pursue audiophile speaker engineering on the basis of Harman's research facilities in Northridge. The result is a brand that doesn't "voice" its speakers but measures them in anechoic chambers — and that, with the Salon2, Studio2 and F328Be, produces configurations achieving top results in double-blind listening tests.
A Revel sign belongs in a room where loudspeakers are understood as measured objects. Owners of a Performa or Ultima configuration, an F328Be or a Salon2 in the listening room. Listeners for whom the research tradition behind the speaker matters as much as the sound that comes out of it.
