Denon was founded in Japan in 1910 — making it one of the oldest continuously operating audio companies in the world. From Edison cylinders through vinyl pressing and CD standards to the AV receiver architecture behind a large share of the world's home cinemas: few audio brands have delivered consistently over more than a century. If you buy an AV receiver, there's a real chance you're buying Denon without realising — or you're buying Denon deliberately, because you already know what the X Series can do.

A Denon sign belongs in a room where home cinema is taken seriously, without the showmanship. Owners of the AVR-X Series, the AVR-A1H flagship, or a DP-3000NE in a stereo setup. Listeners for whom "reliability" matters more than the next hyped spec. People who've bought the same brand name for three decades — sometimes the same unit.
