Pioneer Sign

Pioneer was founded in Japan in 1938 — and the name stands for one of the most multi-faceted audio histories in the industry. From the legendary PL turntable line-up of the 1970s and 80s, through the Kuro plasma TVs (still cited today as the benchmark for picture quality in that technology) to the AVRs and car-audio components — Pioneer has shaped multiple generations of audio listeners and film fans.

A Pioneer sign belongs in a room where the system has a history. Owners of a classic PL turntable, a current SC-LX AVR, or a Kuro screen still in service. Listeners who know Pioneer from the 80s — and who remember what the brand once stood for.
