KEF was founded in 1961 in Maidstone, England, by Raymond Cooke — a former BBC engineer. Since then the brand has reshaped loudspeaker design more than once, most visibly with the Uni-Q driver, which has united tweeter and midrange into a single point source since 1988. Listeners who've heard KEF often hear the stereo image differently: more precise, more physical, less tied to where the speakers happen to sit.
A KEF sign belongs in a room where imaging is taken seriously. Owners of the LS50, the R Series or the big Reference cabinets. Listeners who nod quietly when someone says "point source" — and know exactly why. People who spend twenty minutes adjusting the stereo triangle and enjoy it.
The natural spot: in the listening room facing the speakers, on the wall of the hi-fi rack, or next to the turntable. If you run KEF, you most likely made deliberate choices for your amplification and subwoofer too — take a look at our Rotel, REL and AudioQuest signs as well.
30 × 20 cm (11.8 × 7.9 in) • 3 mm brushed-gold aluminium surface
