Monitor Audio was founded in Cambridge, England, in 1972 — and stands among British loudspeaker makers whose identity comes not from tradition but from continuously evolving driver technology. The C-CAM diaphragms of ceramic-coated aluminium, the MPD-III ribbon tweeters and the cabinet construction across the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze lines show the same discipline across generations: persistent in-house development rather than platform parts.

A Monitor Audio sign belongs in a room where loudspeaker engineering is meant to be visible. Owners of the Platinum Series, a Gold 300 or Silver 500 configuration, or a home-cinema set from the brand. Listeners who can hear differences between diaphragm materials — and can name them.
