MK Sound Sign

MK Sound — originally Miller & Kreisel — was founded in Los Angeles in 1973 and has been one of the major names in studio monitoring for the film industry ever since. MK speakers have hung in the Hollywood dub stages where films are mixed for decades — making the brand one of the few speaker solutions that can genuinely play "on the same picture as the studio" in a home cinema. After a short hiatus in the early 2000s, MK was relaunched in Denmark in 2005 and has carried the lineage forward consistently — from the 950 Series to the S and K models.

An MK Sound sign belongs in a room where the home cinema is meant to play at studio-monitor level. Owners of an S150, 750 or 950 configuration. Home-cinema builders who know which dub stages run MK — and chose for exactly that reason. Engineers whose home cinema is deliberately modelled on the working studio.
